Bristol
Surrounded by rolling countryside yet handily located at the meeting point of the M4 and M5, Bristol is a thriving, cosmopolitan city that is also the gateway to Britain’s beautiful South West. Its vivid history and hugely diverse range of culture, industry and business mean it offers plenty to do both at work and play. It has been officially designated a ‘Centre of Culture’ and a ‘Science City’.
Whether you want museums, shopping, sports facilities or beautiful walking country, Bristol has pretty much got the lot. Theatres, comedy clubs and an enormous number of pubs, clubs, cafés and bars mean you’ll never be short of evening entertainment. 26% of the city’s population is between 20 and 34 and, as a result, every kind of housing is available in the city, to cater for every budget.
The Hewitt office is situated in a listed building in the heart of the beautiful Queen Square and overlooking the modern waterfront at the back, which is particularly impressive when the tall ships arrive for celebrations or when a beach is created in the summer. The office is smaller than many of our others giving it a great family feel. Yet despite having fewer than 100 people, the office boasts the widest range of specialist expertise outside our London office.
The office is the main home of our very strong team of local government pension’s consultants, there is also a small team of international pension scheme specialists, a growing health management consultancy and some legislation and model development specialists. The office culture has always been to encourage variety and explore new ideas.
